About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Media and Communications Officer to join its mission in N'Djamena, Chad. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working with the Programme Support Unit, the officer will help shape and deliver communication strategies that highlight IOM’s programmes and promote accurate narratives about migration.
Key responsibilities
- Support the coordination and implementation of communications, public information and media‑related activities.
- Develop and disseminate messages that showcase IOM Chad programmes to the media, UN partners, donors and the general public.
- Assist in preparing press releases, briefing notes and other communication materials.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Development, International Relations or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in media, communications or public information.
