Supply Chain Officer – Multiple Duty Stations

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to support its operations across multiple duty stations, based in Farchana, Chad. Reporting to the Resource Management Officer and working closely with the Supply Chain Officer in N’Djamena, the role ensures the delivery of quality goods and services to beneficiaries in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, from requisition to contract award.
• Coordinate with the Regional Office for Dakar and the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters to align activities with IOM policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance with UN procurement guidelines, and resolve any delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee storage and distribution logistics.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supply chain performance.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on supply chain procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain or procurement within an international or humanitarian context.
• Familiarity with UN procurement regulations and IOM operational procedures.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
