2‑day Mini‑pupillage opportunity

About the role

Gough Square is offering a two‑day mini‑pupillage for law students and conversion course participants who are interested in a career at the Bar. The placement provides a brief, hands‑on insight into the work of a set of chambers.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and assist barristers on active cases.
• Attend court hearings and client meetings where permitted.
• Conduct basic legal research under supervision.
• Participate in case preparation and debrief sessions.

Required profile

• At least six months of undergraduate law study or enrolment in a law conversion course.
• Strong interest in applying for a full pupillage at Gough Square.
• Commitment to the dates in April 2026 and to the application window (2 Nov 2025 – 1 Mar 2026).
• Willingness to comply with the chambers’ Equality and Diversity Policy.
