Accountant – US GAAP or UK GAAP Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will work with either US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS standards to provide timely data that supports business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical ability, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Reliable backup power, internet connection and a functional laptop.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
