DCS Specialist – IT Hardware Operations

About the role

The DCS Specialist supports both inbound and outbound IT hardware operations, ensuring that equipment is received, inspected, catalogued, tested, and shipped according to company procedures and priority schedules. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory and meeting shipment deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Stage, organize, and process purchase order materials for inbound and outbound workflows.
• Inspect, test, and catalogue electronic hardware such as servers, workstations, network equipment, and spare parts (memory, HDD/SSD, CPU, GPU, I/O cards).
• Perform data sanitization on storage devices, resetting them to factory specifications.
• Update purchase order status and provide timely progress reports to supervisors.
• Maintain ESD, quality, safety, environmental, and recycling standards in all work areas.
• Assist the Operations team and other departments with inventory movement and packaging requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience assembling, inspecting, and testing IT hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco preferred).
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Self‑motivated, high‑performance attitude and teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to work overtime and lift up to 35 lb repeatedly.

Required skills

• IT hardware assembly, inspection, and testing.
• Data erasure and device reset procedures.
• Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
