Logistics Manager – Chad (N'Djamena) – Internal Applicants

About the role

The Logistics Manager will ensure that all logistics support services for NRC's programmes in eastern Chad meet the organisation's standards. This role is focused on coordinating supply chain activities, managing warehouses, and supporting cash‑based interventions in a complex humanitarian environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely logistics support to all NRC programme activities across the country office and field bases.
• Coordinate closely with logistics and programme managers in all area offices to plan and execute deliveries.
• Develop and maintain guidelines and SOPs for cash‑based interventions and market‑based programmes.
• Ensure an effective Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Tender Management System (TMS) to strengthen compliance and efficiency.
• Offer technical guidance on communication equipment (satellite, mobile, internet) and support emergency preparedness planning.
• Advise on strategic and policy issues related to logistics and contribute to medium‑to‑long‑term logistics planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong knowledge of NRC logistics standards and procurement policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme teams and external humanitarian actors.
• Excellent planning and coordination skills across multiple locations.
