Senior Project Coordinator – Vaccination Project

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to lead a donor‑funded vaccination initiative in Chad. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of supply‑ and demand‑side interventions aimed at achieving zero unvaccinated children in fragile settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the vaccination project, ensuring alignment with donor expectations and IRC standards.
• Supervise the MEAL Manager and Finance Officer, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Coordinate with technical coordinators, health and immunisation teams, and regional advisers to integrate service delivery and demand‑generation activities.
• Manage project budgets, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
• Oversee rigorous monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting to demonstrate impact and cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain strong partnerships with donors, government authorities, and sector stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing health or vaccination projects in humanitarian or crisis‑affected contexts.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex budgets.
• Strong understanding of immunisation strategies, demand‑generation techniques, and MEAL frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
