Student Bookstore Assistant (Weekend)

About the role

Join a small independent bookstore as a student assistant. You will work primarily on Saturdays and occasional additional days, with a strong focus on the busy Christmas period. This part‑time role offers a chance to share your love of reading with customers while gaining retail experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in finding books.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Restock shelves, organise displays and maintain a tidy store environment.
• Provide personalized book recommendations based on customer interests.
• Support the team during peak periods, especially around the holidays.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a college or university program, preferably at Master level.
• Passionate about books and reading.
• Available to work every Saturday and flexible for additional days as needed.
• Highly motivated and willing to invest effort in the role.
