Communication & Media Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Communication & Media Coordinator to lead strategic communication and public engagement efforts in Chad. This role will strengthen IRC’s reputation, build trust with key audiences, and ensure effective emergency communication across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement IRC Chad’s communication strategy.
• Coordinate production of communication materials (brochures, factsheets, posters, newsletters, annual reports) in line with IRC branding.
• Work with program and field teams to create and disseminate content such as videos, documentaries, and testimonials.
• Support project teams and technical coordinators in producing high‑quality publications, website content, and social‑media posts.
• Maintain and update digital platforms, including rescue.net, for IRC Chad.
• Manage social‑media channels to highlight program activities and results.
• Coordinate the production of a monthly SITREP on emergency activities.
• Handle media relations at the national level, including press reviews, coverage monitoring, and journalist outreach.
