Manager - Portfolio Analytics

About the role

As the Manager, Portfolio Analytics you will lead a team of Business Analysts and Graduate Trainees to drive data‑informed investment decisions, strengthen portfolio performance and risk monitoring, and lead strategic investment systems and analytics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing analytics team, setting objectives and fostering a culture of analytical excellence.
• Analyse portfolio performance indicators such as disbursements, collections, PAR, defaults, write‑offs, recoveries and provisioning, and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support portfolio forecasting, target setting and scenario modelling to guide growth strategies.
• Develop and maintain risk monitoring and early‑warning indicators, conduct stress testing and escalate material risks.
• Own executive‑level reporting, translating complex data into clear insights for leadership and external partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, financial analysis, portfolio management or credit risk management.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring analytics professionals and managing technology integration projects.
• Strong track record of delivering data‑driven insights in a financial or investment context.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
• Expert use of MS Excel, financial modeling, credit risk modeling and portfolio stress testing.
• High‑level mastery of BI and dashboard tools such as Power BI, Holistics or Tableau.
• Deep understanding of data pipelines, core banking/investment platform integrations, APIs and data governance.
• Project management expertise, including workflow documentation and quality‑assurance methodologies.
