Program Manager – Humanitarian Programs

About the role

World Relief is seeking a compassionate Program Manager to lead and strengthen its country office programs in Chad. The role combines strategic leadership, program development, and hands‑on coordination to ensure high‑quality, impact‑driven humanitarian assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the Program Department, overseeing quality, development, and implementation of all projects.
• Lead country strategy formulation and dissemination, ensuring alignment with World Relief’s mission.
• Develop and submit proposals, securing funding and managing donor relationships.
• Supervise staff, monitor daily activities, approve timesheets, and manage performance through goal setting and regular check‑ins.
• Maintain HR records, process promotions, transitions, and separations in the HRIS system.
• Act as a spiritual leader, fostering a workplace grounded in Christian values and encouraging prayer and reflection.
• Ensure programs meet standards of accountability, quality, and measurable impact on poverty reduction and life‑saving outcomes.

Required profile

• Deep commitment to justice, compassion, and serving vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated experience in humanitarian or development program management.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local churches, communities, and partners.
