Project Director for Child Survival Programs

About the role

Nutrition International is seeking a Project Director to lead its Child Survival programming in Chad, supporting the Ministry of Health in delivering vitamin A supplementation and zinc/ORS interventions. The role involves overseeing program design, implementation, monitoring, and partnership management to improve child health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Nutrition International’s representation in Chad, building relationships with government, donors, UN agencies, NGOs, and the private sector.
• Manage programme delivery, ensuring targets for vitamin A coverage, gender equity, and data collection are met on schedule.
• Oversee financial management, budgeting, and reporting in line with donor requirements.
• Lead a country team of senior programme officers and ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations.
• Serve as the primary focal point for child survival programming, coordinating with senior government officials and partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in management, international development, public health, nutrition or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing public health or nutrition programmes, including complex budgets and senior leadership.
• At least 5 years of high‑level networking with international partners and government, and 5 years working in Chad.
• Fluent in English and French; local language skills are an asset.
