Senior Project Coordinator – Vaccination Project (Chad)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to lead a donor‑funded vaccination project in Chad. The role sits within the rapidly expanding health team and is responsible for delivering cost‑effective interventions that aim to achieve zero unvaccinated children in fragile, crisis‑affected settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the vaccination project, ensuring alignment with IRC’s health objectives.
• Supervise a small multidisciplinary team, including the MEAL Manager and Finance Officer.
• Oversee the design and implementation of supply‑ and demand‑side interventions such as vaccination awareness, integrated service delivery, demand generation, and incentives.
• Ensure rigorous monitoring, learning, and reporting to donors and sector stakeholders.
• Maintain strong partnerships with technical coordinators, Primary Health Care and Immunisation managers, and regional partners.
• Manage project budgets, financial controls, and compliance with donor requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating health or vaccination projects in humanitarian or fragile contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and manage donor‑funded initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on results and impact.
• Excellent communication and partnership‑building abilities.
