Social Media Video Producer – EU Affairs

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Video Producer to create engaging video content that translates complex EU legislative and policy topics into clear stories for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and edit short‑form (Shorts, Reels, TikTok) and long‑form (YouTube) video content.
• Handle filming, including camera work, lighting, and sound when required.
• Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards aligned with institutional communication goals.
• Optimize videos for each platform’s best practices and performance metrics.
• Monitor social media trends and apply innovative storytelling formats.
• Follow European policy and legislative developments to identify content opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, managing content planning and multimedia assets.
• Source visual materials such as B‑roll, archives, and image libraries.
• Support multilingual adaptation of content when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in video production and editing.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and formats.
• Up‑to‑date with digital trends and storytelling techniques.
• Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging video formats.
• Interest in European affairs is a strong asset.
• Creative, detail‑oriented, proactive, organized and reliable.
• Team player capable of meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Video editing software: Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, CapCut.
• Familiarity with motion graphics/animation (optional).
