AI Trainer (LLM & Generative AI Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented AI Trainer to help shape the next generation of large language models. Working remotely, you will collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, execute, and refine training workflows that improve model performance across coding, creative writing, reasoning, and multilingual tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and manage end‑to‑end training pipelines, including supervised fine‑tuning (SFT), reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), and red‑team exercises.
• Develop complex prompt templates and testing scenarios to evaluate model behavior in diverse domains.
• Define and maintain rubrics for output quality, and create high‑quality “golden datasets” as standards.
• Analyze model failures, identify root causes of bias, hallucination, or logical errors, and document findings.
• Guide junior trainers and annotators, ensuring consistency and high standards across a global team.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and product managers to translate research goals into actionable annotation tasks.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose improvements to internal tools and platforms.
• Design strategies for generating synthetic data to strengthen model robustness in niche scenarios.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant technical field such as software engineering or computer science.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex problems and articulate abstract concepts.
• Comfort reading technical papers and staying current with AI safety research.
• Experience using data analysis or metrics to justify training decisions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to shift between highly technical tasks (e.g., code ranking) and creative tasks (e.g., fiction writing).
