Area Manager – Eastern Chad (Iriba)

About the role

The Area Manager will be based in Iriba and will lead and manage the newly established Area Office for Eastern Chad. This position is central to the implementation of the Country Operations and Cooperation Model (CO‑OP 3.0) and will support the transition of the operational structure by September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Area Office in Iriba, providing overall operational management for the defined geographical area.
• Oversee programme implementation and ensure alignment with NRC’s strategic priorities.
• Manage support functions, including finance, logistics, and administration, within the Area Office.
• Coordinate with the Field Office in Adré to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Represent NRC in the region and liaise with partners, authorities and communities.
• Monitor compliance with NRC policies, standards and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead an operational hub and manage multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience in humanitarian programme implementation and coordination.
• Strong understanding of operational priorities in a complex, multi‑site environment.
