Assembly Mechanic B – Rotating Equipment Maintenance

About the role

The Assembly Mechanic B is responsible for recommending, implementing, and documenting repairs on industrial rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, and related machinery. The role requires safe, timely work under supervision and a strong focus on quality and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safety and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, work scopes, and verbal instructions.
• Perform repairs, alterations, overhauls, and re‑assembly of rotors, turbines, disc and blade holders, shafts, gears, couplings, and other rotating components.
• Set up equipment, conduct dimensional measurements, and record inspection data using appropriate tools.
• Pass annual dimensional inspection tests and understand inspection reports with customer witnesses.
• Handle lifting, rigging, crane, and forklift operations safely.
• Document actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure shift continuity.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience with rotating turbo machinery.
• Demonstrated rigging and measuring capabilities.
• Experience with turbines, compressors, or similar rotating equipment.
• Ability to work under supervision and take ownership of performance.
