About the role
The Finance Manager will be based in N'Djamena and will travel regularly to field offices across Chad. Reporting to the Country Director and receiving technical guidance from the Finance Controller in Geneva, the role provides senior financial leadership for the country programme.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain robust accounting systems and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with donor requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, cash management, and financial analysis to support programme decisions.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, donor regulations, and internal controls.
- Coordinate audits, prepare financial statements, and safeguard organisational assets.
- Supervise finance staff and provide capacity‑building support.
- Liaise with donors, partners and government authorities on financial matters.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) highly desirable.
- Minimum five years of progressive finance experience, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
- Strong analytical capacity, diplomacy, integrity and ability to work in complex environments.
