Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal and regulatory information into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms and other legal datasets to uncover trends and risks.
• Translate analytical findings into recommendations for legal strategy and operational decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data for AI‑driven legal tools, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline legal processes and reduce operational risk.
• Support regulatory intelligence by mapping external data to internal models and validating content accuracy.
• Assist in implementing data‑governance practices for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong ability to convert complex legal concepts into quantitative data structures.
• Proven project‑management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
