Logistics, Procurement, and Security Coordinator

About the role

The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) World Service seeks a senior Logistics, Procurement, and Security Coordinator to strengthen operational quality and sustainability of its country programme in Chad. Based in N'Djamena with regular travel to field offices, the role combines leadership, technical coordination and capacity‑building across logistics, procurement and security functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise logistics, procurement and security activities across multiple bases, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and internal policies.
• Develop and deliver training and mentorship to national staff to enhance technical competencies.
• Manage procurement cycles, vendor selection, contract negotiations and inventory control for humanitarian programmes.
• Coordinate security risk assessments, travel authorisations and emergency response plans for staff and assets.
• Oversee donor reporting, audit preparation and compliance monitoring for logistics and procurement expenditures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Security Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in logistics, procurement and/or security coordination, with at least 3 years in a senior management role within international humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven experience supervising senior national staff and managing multi‑site operations.
• Demonstrated track record in donor compliance, audits and financial reporting.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or APICS are a strong asset.
