Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Associate

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Associate will be based in Amleyouna, Chad, supporting the MEL Manager for Chad. The role focuses on high‑quality data collection, monitoring, and learning activities for the Farchana and Gaga projects, ensuring that program impact is measured accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Lead local data collection efforts and conduct data quality checks for Farchana and Gaga initiatives.
• Collaborate with program and MEL teams to design and refine qualitative and quantitative data collection tools.
• Plan and execute surveys, focus group discussions, and other data‑gathering activities with diverse client groups.
• Communicate data‑collection plans to clients, coordinate logistics, and ensure smooth field operations.
• Update project monitoring plans and track key performance indicators across projects.
• Test data‑collection tools, incorporate feedback, and maintain documentation.
• Translate monitoring materials into Arabic when required.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities, preferably in development or humanitarian settings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple field activities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
