Supply Chain Officer (Multiple Duty Stations)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to oversee supply chain activities across multiple duty stations, primarily based in N'Djamena. The role supports IOM’s mission to provide timely, cost‑effective goods and services to beneficiaries while collaborating with headquarters, regional offices, and local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning for supply chain‑related activities in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct logistics capacity assessments and market analyses to inform procurement decisions.
• Manage procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor performance to ensure quality and compliance.
• Coordinate the delivery of goods and services, monitoring timelines, budgets, and inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in line with IOM’s supply chain management standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field teams and partner organizations.

Required profile

• University degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in procurement, logistics or supply chain within an international or UN context.
• Strong understanding of UN procurement regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and under tight deadlines.
