Assistant Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Test Engineer to support our Test Engineering team in a fast‑paced electronics manufacturing environment. You will work independently or alongside senior engineers to lead test technicians, maintain equipment, and ensure high‑quality production while meeting ISO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies at component level, minimizing engineering and component hold quantities.
• Operate electronic test and measurement equipment and perform In‑Circuit Test, functional test, burn‑in, HASS, soak, ESS and X‑Ray testing.
• Support new NPI projects by setting up test equipment, installing fixtures, and create test documentation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, coordinate calibration with vendors, and manage spare‑parts inventory to reduce downtime.
• Lead and train test technicians, debug technicians and operators, and guide production line support.
• Collect and evaluate data to improve diagnostic efficiency and test yields.
• Prepare technical reports, provide quotations for testing services, and assist in customer interactions, including travel for advanced diagnostics.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, production policies, and 3‑5‑10 standards.

Required profile

• Ability to present technical information clearly to managers, customers and colleagues.
• Strong problem‑solving, data collection and analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based operating systems and related software tools.
• Capability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Basic mathematical and graph interpretation abilities.
