Remote 3D Modeler (Full-Time/Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a highly creative and detail‑oriented Remote 3D Modeler to turn 2D concepts into high‑quality 3D assets for our globally distributed team. The role blends artistic vision with technical execution and works closely with Art Directors, engineers, and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build high‑quality 3D models (organic and hard‑surface) from concept art, sketches, and references.
• Create realistic or stylized textures, UV maps, materials, and lighting to enhance visual appeal.
• Optimize models by reducing polygon counts while maintaining aesthetic quality for real‑time performance.
• Collaborate with design, animation, and engineering teams via Slack, Zoom, and project‑management tools.
• Iterate models, textures, and renders based on stakeholder feedback.
• Maintain organized folder structures, clean UVs, and clear asset versioning on cloud servers.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, new software, and rendering techniques.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering experience with a portfolio.
• Ability to work independently, manage schedule, and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong eye for form, scale, color, proportion, and spatial relationships.
• Robust remote‑friendly workstation capable of handling complex rendering tasks.

Required skills

• Blender, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, or ZBrush.
• UV unwrapping and photo‑realistic texture mapping.
• Slack, Zoom, and project‑management tools.
