Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications, especially those based on Copernicus data, to address development, climate and environmental priorities across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement EO services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support the deployment of solutions in early‑warning, climate monitoring, environmental management, agriculture, water resources and biodiversity.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and promote user uptake with African institutions and stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and innovation initiatives within the Africa‑EU space partnership.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services with Copernicus data.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
• Experience working with African institutions or users is a plus.
