Safeguarding Manager (Chad)

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking a Safeguarding Manager for its Chad operations to lead the development and implementation of safeguarding standards across all programmes. The role works closely with security, HR and program teams to create a safe environment for clients, staff and partners, and to respond effectively to any safeguarding concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Embed safeguarding into organisational practices, decision‑making and performance objectives, and lead awareness and capacity‑building for staff, partners and clients.
• Conduct ongoing safeguarding risk assessments of programmes, field activities and new locations, and implement prevention measures.
• Ensure accessible, confidential and inclusive reporting mechanisms, especially for refugee and vulnerable populations.
• Coordinate survivor‑centred case management, investigations, referrals to legal, medical and psychosocial services, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor compliance with safeguarding policies, donor requirements and minimum standards through regular field visits and assessments.
• Represent Inkomoko in external safeguarding coordination forums and prepare regular reports for leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, management or a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in safeguarding, protection or PSEA, with proven case‑management and investigation experience.
• Professional fluency in French and English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
• Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with refugee, women or children populations.
• Hold an ONAPE job seeker card.
