Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure an outstanding guest and member experience across the property. This senior position sets departmental targets, monitors guest satisfaction, and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations.
• Evaluate guest satisfaction levels and implement improvement actions.
• Manage departmental budgets, stock control and cost efficiencies.
• Set targets, work schedules, policies and procedures for the team.
• Inspect rooms, fixtures and appliances to ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor team performance, provide training and foster teamwork.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and handle performance issues.
• Recruit, train, develop and lead the housekeeping/laundry team.
• Maintain proficiency in property management systems and support other departments as needed.

Required profile

• Proven housekeeping/laundry management experience in hotel, leisure or retail environments.
• Successful track record managing large teams and departmental P&L.
• High school certificate or equivalent.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost‑control capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while delivering high‑level customer service.
• Professional grooming standards and flexibility to adapt to varied situations.
• Strong organizational, budgeting and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• General IT proficiency and computer literacy.
