R&D Strategy Manager

About the role

Join the R&D Strategy & Management Office at GN and lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the company’s research and development landscape. You will work closely with development centers, cross‑R&D functions, and the broader GN Strategy team to ensure alignment with corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee strategy implementation and ensure alignment with the overall GN strategy.
• Provide leadership support to the R&D Leadership Team.
• Identify and drive strategic change initiatives, managing stakeholder engagement, planning, execution, measurement, and cultural integration.
• Secure input and alignment with partners outside R&D, including Business Divisions, Global Operations, and IT.
• Facilitate the setting, tracking, and reporting of KPIs to demonstrate progress of strategic efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• Experience in a complex R&D environment or in strategy/management consulting.
• Strong commitment to change management and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work at the intersection of engineering, business, and strategy.
• Highly collaborative with proven stakeholder management capabilities.
• Systematic problem‑solving approach and strong presentation preparation skills.
• Critical thinking, openness to diverse opinions, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
