Senior Crash Data Systems Expert

About the role

NTU International is looking for a Senior Crash Data Systems Expert to lead the design, deployment, and management of integrated road crash data systems across West Africa. The role supports an EU‑funded technical assistance project aimed at strengthening transport governance and road safety in the ECOWAS region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy integrated road crash data management platforms.
• Provide technical assistance on crash data collection, database management, and interoperability frameworks.
• Integrate police, hospital, licensing, insurance and road‑infrastructure databases into a unified system.
• Advise on harmonised data templates, standards and road‑safety analytics methodologies.
• Create digital dashboards, reporting tools and monitoring systems for road‑safety performance.
• Prepare technical specifications, operational procedures, analytical reports and system assessments.
• Ensure data quality, validation and evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Coordinate with transport authorities, police, health agencies, ICT providers and development partners.
• Deliver workshops, training and capacity‑building activities on crash data systems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in information systems, transport engineering, statistics, data analytics, road safety, public health or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in road‑safety data systems or transport analytics.
• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience with crash data systems, integrated databases and data interoperability.
• Proven experience in international development projects, preferably in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
