Country Director – Chad

About the role

World Relief is seeking a compassionate and visionary leader to serve as Country Director for its Chad program. The role combines strategic oversight, program management, and advocacy to ensure that vulnerable populations receive effective humanitarian assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, supervision, and support to all in‑country staff, fostering professional excellence and spiritual growth.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review a country strategy aligned with World Relief’s mission and international program priorities.
• Recruit and manage personnel, and evolve policies, structures, and systems to support program delivery.
• Ensure high‑quality monitoring and evaluation processes across all initiatives.
• Lead local resource development efforts and actively participate in U.S. and international fundraising.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, donors, local institutions, and implementing partners.
• Represent World Relief with government officials, donors, and other organizations at the national and international levels.

Required profile

• Deep commitment to humanitarian values, justice, and the rights of vulnerable and marginalized people.
• Demonstrated experience leading senior management teams in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Proven ability to develop and execute country‑level strategies and manage large‑scale programs.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills, with experience representing an organization to donors and government bodies.
• Alignment with World Relief’s Christian mission and values.
